Tokyo born multi faceted vocalist mimismooth.At a young age was introduced to the streets of Shibuya home ground for record lovers. It was natural for her to get influenced by Soul, Jazz, Hiphop and R&B sources of inspiration in the search for her own style.A passion for travel and a borderless spirit has always fed a keen interest in ethnic music and vocal styles from around the world.Moving to Shanghai, melting pot of international musicians, she fell in love with Gypsy Jazz ,Balkan folklore music, Afro-Latin and Asian traditional music.
Currently she is based in Europe absorbing the flavourful melange of world music and working on her first solo album “Gypsy Queens”.
